After Hours HVAC Repair: Evenings, Weekends, Holidays
After-hours HVAC repair across the GTA at the same flat rate as daytime calls. EcoFrost dispatches TSSA-certified technicians evenings, weekends, statutory holidays, and overnight with zero overtime surcharge. Real tech, real parts, real-time arrival.
What we dispatch for, around the clock
Furnace failure (evenings/weekends)
No heat after 5 PM, weekend, or holiday. Our dispatch operates the same shift hours as daytime: 24/7.
AC failure during heat advisory
Compressor down on a Saturday in July? Heat-related health risks rise fast for seniors and infants. Same-day priority during heat advisories.
Water heater leaks
Tank rupture or major leak floods basements quickly. We dispatch within 60 minutes after hours to shut off and assess.
Gas smell or red tag
Call us only AFTER calling Enbridge gas emergency line (1-866-763-5427) or 911 if active. We follow up with TSSA-certified repair.
What to do while you wait for the technician
Document the issue
Note any error codes flashing on your furnace or AC board, any sounds (clicking, banging, hissing), and when the issue started. Photos help the technician arrive prepared.
Shut off the equipment
If you smell gas, turn off the gas shutoff valve. If you see water, shut off the unit's electrical breaker. Do not work on the equipment yourself.
Ventilate if needed
Open windows if you smell anything burning, electrical, or gas-like. Close the door to the mechanical room and exit if smell is strong.
Keep pathways clear
Clear access from your front door to the equipment. Have a flashlight ready in case the breaker is off. Pets in another room helps the tech move quickly.
Have ID ready
We may ask for ID and address verification at the door. This is for your safety, ensuring the right home receives the dispatched technician.
Stay nearby and reachable
Keep your phone on you. The dispatcher calls when the technician is 30 minutes away. The tech calls again when they arrive at your door.

Got questions about HVAC services in the GTA? We've got answers.
Anytime outside Monday to Friday 8 AM to 6 PM, including evenings, weekends, all statutory holidays, and overnight. EcoFrost charges the same flat rate during all hours: no overtime, no weekend surcharge, no holiday premium.
It is not. Most contractors charge 1.5x to 2x on after-hours calls. EcoFrost charges the same flat rate 24/7/365. This is the single most important price difference between us and big-box competitors in the GTA.
Yes, but emergencies get priority. If your furnace is working but you want a tune-up at 8 PM Saturday, we will schedule that. If someone has an active no-heat call at the same time, theirs comes first. Most non-urgent after-hours calls dispatch within 2 to 4 hours during peak emergency periods, faster otherwise.
We run a dispatch model designed for 24/7 service rather than tacking on after-hours coverage to a 9-to-5 business. We schedule technicians on rotating shifts so after-hours coverage is part of their regular pay, not premium time. This is structural, not promotional.
No. We do not have a 'second shift' staffed with junior techs. All EcoFrost technicians are TSSA-certified, complete the same training, and rotate through after-hours coverage on a regular schedule. The tech showing up at 2 AM is the same caliber as the tech at 2 PM.
We complete the repair the same night on roughly 80 percent of calls. The other 20 percent involve major parts that need to be sourced from a distributor (heat exchangers, specialty boards, etc.). In those cases, we restore temporary heat with portable equipment and return when the part arrives, usually within 24 hours.
