Types of Boilers We Service
Hot Water Boilers
The most common type in Ontario - circulates heated water through radiators, baseboards, or radiant floor systems. More efficient than forced-air for older, drafty homes.
Steam Boilers
Found in older Toronto and Hamilton homes, typically pre-1960. Require specialized service knowledge - not all HVAC companies work on steam systems. We do.
Combi Boilers
Provides both home heating and domestic hot water in one compact unit. Ideal for smaller homes looking to eliminate the need for a separate water heater.
High-Efficiency Condensing Boilers
Achieve up to 98% AFUE efficiency - significantly better than standard boilers (80–85%). Qualifies for Enbridge rebates. Best choice for new installations.

Boiler FAQs
How long do boilers last?
A well-maintained boiler typically lasts 20–30 years. Cast iron boilers can last even longer. Annual maintenance is the single most important factor in longevity.
Is a boiler more efficient than a furnace?
High-efficiency boilers (90%+ AFUE) are comparable to high-efficiency furnaces. However, radiant heat from a boiler system is often perceived as more comfortable because it heats objects and surfaces evenly, without blowing dry air.
Can I replace my boiler with a heat pump?
In some cases yes, especially with a newer, well-insulated home. We can assess your home and discuss the options - including hybrid systems that pair a heat pump with your existing boiler for backup.
Why is my radiator only warm at the top?
This is usually caused by trapped air in the radiator. The fix is 'bleeding' the radiator - a simple process our technicians do as part of any boiler service call.
My boiler pressure keeps dropping - what causes this?
A dropping pressure reading usually indicates a leak somewhere in the system, a failed expansion tank, or a pressure relief valve that's weeping. All are repairable - call us for a diagnosis.
