What we dispatch for, around the clock

No heat at all

Furnace not running. Often pilot, ignitor, flame sensor, or pressure switch. Same-night fix on 80% of calls.

Burning smell

Stop the furnace immediately, ventilate, call us. Could be wiring, blower, or heat exchanger crack. We respond within 60 minutes.

Furnace short-cycling

Turns on, runs briefly, shuts off. Often dirty flame sensor or restricted airflow. Most fix in 1 visit.

Carbon monoxide alarm

Leave the home, call 911 first if alarm is active. Call us when safe. CO alarms point to combustion or venting failure that needs immediate professional repair.

What to do while you wait for the technician

1

Check the breaker

Walk to your electrical panel. If the furnace breaker is tripped, reset it once. If it trips again immediately, leave it off and tell the tech.

2

Check your thermostat

Confirm it is set to HEAT mode, set point above current room temperature, and batteries (if applicable) are fresh. Surprising number of no-heat calls resolve here.

3

Check the filter

A clogged filter restricts airflow and triggers high-limit shutdown. If you can swap to a clean filter, do it. If the furnace runs after the swap, the call may become a tune-up rather than emergency repair.

4

Look for water around the furnace

Condensate pump failure on high-efficiency furnaces causes water pooling and auto-shutoff. Tell the tech if you see water so they bring the right parts.

5

Stay warm safely

Use blankets, layer clothes, gather in one room. Do NOT use the kitchen stove for heat. Space heaters at safe distances are OK for the next few hours.

6

Keep the path clear

Clear snow from your driveway and walkway, and clear a path to the furnace. This saves 10 to 15 minutes on technician arrival, which matters at 3 AM in February.
