A $149 annual visit is the cheapest piece of insurance you can buy for a gas furnace. We catch the small problems that grow into the expensive ones, keep your manufacturer warranty valid, and give you a written photo report at the end of every visit.
Same flat rate evenings, weekends, and holidays. TSSA-licensed gas technicians. We service all major brands.
Each city page covers the housing types and equipment vintages we see most in that area, plus the city-specific FAQs that come up during our visits.

Most major brands require documented annual professional maintenance to honour their 10-year parts warranty. Skipping years can void coverage on the most expensive components.
The heat exchanger inspection and combustion analysis are the checks that matter most. A cracked heat exchanger leaks carbon monoxide into the home. Annual inspection catches it before it becomes a hazard.
A neglected furnace can lose 5-10% efficiency. On a typical Ontario heating bill of $1,800-$3,500 per season, that lost efficiency roughly equals the cost of the visit itself.
A well-maintained furnace typically lasts 15-20 years. A neglected one often fails between years 10 and 13. Usually from a small problem that grew into a major failure.
Once a year, ideally in September or October before heating season starts. Most major manufacturers (Lennox, Carrier, Goodman, Trane) require documented annual professional maintenance to keep their 10-year parts warranty valid. Skipping years can void coverage on the most expensive components like the heat exchanger and inducer motor.
Practically, none. The terms are interchangeable in residential HVAC. A tune-up (or maintenance visit) typically includes a 12-point inspection covering combustion analysis, gas pressure verification, flame sensor cleaning, burner inspection, heat exchanger visual inspection, blower motor amp draw, pressure switch test, filter replacement, and a written photo report. Pricing is $149 flat for a single visit through EcoFrost.
Modestly but consistently. A well-maintained 96%+ AFUE furnace runs at its rated efficiency. A neglected one (dirty burners, blocked secondary heat exchanger, undersized airflow from clogged filters) can lose 5-10% efficiency over time. On a typical Ontario gas bill of $1,800-$3,500 per heating season, that's roughly $90-$350 per year. The tune-up usually pays for itself across one or two winters.
Yes. We service Lennox, Carrier, Goodman, Trane, York, Bryant, Daikin, Napoleon, Rheem, Heil, Comfortmaker, ICP, and other major residential furnace brands. We are an authorized Lennox dealer with TSSA-licensed gas technicians. The $149 maintenance price applies regardless of who originally installed the unit.
No. EcoFrost charges the same $149 flat rate for furnace maintenance visits regardless of time of day or day of week. No overtime fees, no holiday surcharge. Response time during evenings and weekends may be slightly longer during peak heating season demand.
You receive a written photo report showing exactly what we found, with a flat-rate quote for any recommended repair. You decide whether to proceed immediately, schedule later, or hold off. The $149 maintenance fee is not contingent on you agreeing to any repair. For furnaces near end of life (15+ years old), we run the replace-vs-repair math during the visit and discuss current rebate options.
September and October are our busiest months. Book early to get your preferred week. Same $149 flat rate, anywhere in the GTA.
